Getting Things Done, without the clutter
TidyPepple is a lean task manager built on the Getting Things Done method for phone, tablet and browser. Capture thoughts in seconds, see only what you can do right now in the Next list, and run projects without extra bookkeeping. The app works fully offline and for free; optional sync between devices is end-to-end encrypted.

Calm, fast and free of menu clutter – this is what order looks like.

A task with two open steps is a project. That's all it takes. You never create projects – you add steps, and TidyPepple figures out the rest.
The Next list never shows the project itself, only its next open step. A chip leads from the step back to its project, and projects without a next step stand out immediately. The list stays actionable and nothing quietly stalls.

Six building blocks that add up to a complete workflow.
The c key or the plus button opens quick capture. @context, #project and !date are understood as you type.
The Next list shows only what is actionable: no project headers, nothing that is waiting or due later.
Two open steps turn a task into a project. Sequential or parallel, with progress and a warning when it stalls.
Columns by status, context, project or due date. Dragging a card changes that property – by keyboard, too.
The app only reads and writes on your device. It works the same in flight mode as on Wi-Fi.
Optional: sync between phone, tablet and computer. The server never sees plain text.
Title, context, project, due date, defer date and priority – all while typing, without a single form field.

In the browser or as an installed desktop app, the list becomes a board – by status, context, project or due date, with drag and drop.

Getting Things Done starts with writing down every open loop before it eats your attention. In TidyPepple that is one line: type, Enter, done. On Android, even text shared from other apps lands straight in the inbox.
A capture without a context or date counts as unclarified and goes to the inbox. If you add an @context or a date right away, it goes straight to the Next list.
In the inbox you decide for each entry: is it a next action, are you waiting for someone, does it belong on a specific day or on someday? One status, one context, done. If something has several steps, just add them – and it is a project.
“Visible from” defers things: they disappear from the Next list until their day comes. “Waiting for” remembers who you need something from.
When you are out, only what you can do while out matters. One tap on @errands filters the list, “Important only” shows flagged tasks alone. Sort by due date, context, status, creation date or by hand.
Checking off is a tap on the circle. In a sequential project the next step moves up immediately – no re-sorting needed.
For the regular overview there is the All view with every open task by status, the project overview with progress and a “No next step” warning, and the board on the big screen. Completed tasks wait under Done, grouped by day.
On a single device TidyPepple is complete and free. You only pay for what actually costs money to run: encrypted sync between devices.

The key answers in short – more in the FAQ.
TidyPepple is a minimalist task manager based on the Getting Things Done method (GTD) that runs in the browser and installs on phone and computer. It offers an inbox, a Next list, projects, contexts and a board – offline and without tracking.
Getting Things Done is a productivity method by David Allen in which you move every open loop out of your head into a trusted system. It has five steps: capture, clarify, organise, reflect and engage.
TidyPepple maps exactly these steps – quick capture and the inbox, statuses and contexts, the Next list for getting things done, and All, Projects and the board for the weekly review.
Yes. On a single device TidyPepple is completely free and needs no account – no feature limits and no ads. Only the optional sync subscription for keeping several devices in step costs money: €1.95 a month or €19.50 a year, including 19% German VAT (net €1.64 or €16.39; outside Germany your local VAT rate applies at checkout).
That works because the app is local-first: if you don't sync, you never touch a server and cause no running costs.
Yes, completely. The app stores everything in your browser's local database and only needs the network for the first load, for updates and – if you subscribe – for sync. In flight mode it works exactly as online; changes are sent once you are connected again.
No tracking, no ads, no behavioural analytics. Without sync your tasks never leave the device; with sync they leave it only encrypted. The details are in the privacy policy.
